Our Philosophy
Our philosophy incorporates open communication between staff and parents in a safe and stimulating environment that enriches the children through these important first years.
Our goal is to provide all of the children at Vaughan Kids Daycare, a clean, safe, comfortable, loving environment, where they can play and learn. Respect toward self, others and the environment will be emphasized. We believe in the value of both structured and flexible schedules. Structured activities will include the use of a preschool curriculum, regular reading times, arts and crafts, computer time and musical activities. Outdoor play, free play, and birthday parties, are some of the more flexible activities we have. The most important priority is to have FUN!
Our Mission
The mission of the Vaughan Kids Daycare is to provide safe, affordable, high quality child care for the children of Vaughan. In doing so, we support families in their efforts to reach their own personal goals.
The Vaughan Kids Daycare centre's provide a cognitively based program for children ages One month to Twelve years of age. We provide a comfortable environment where children are encouraged to develop at their own pace.

About Us
Vaughan Kids Daycare provides Emergent Curriculum. Emergent Curriculum is based on the premise that children are most successful at learning when program experiences account for their interests, strengths, needs, and lived realities. Educators committed to this philosophy use observations of children throughout their day as a tool for constructing curriculum content/programming. Meaningful learning opportunities are then provided in support of key developmental skills relevant to a specific age group. As children confront and master these (achievable challenges), they come to view themselves as competent learners. Finally, the alignment of curriculum content with individual interests and social realities serves to validate all forms of diversity and inspires a life long passion for learning.
We are still one of the newest childcare center's in the neighbourhood! That means a superior facility that’s been built with the latest Ministry requirements in mind. This results in a facility where each class is designed perfectly for your child’s age and development. Each class has a bathroom linked to the room, with miniature toilets, sinks and low soap dispensers to promote independence in every child.
Our daycare features three onsite playgrounds; which are state of the art. They each have play structures, synthetic grass, rubberized surfacing and loads of fun toys for safe and exciting outdoor play. Each of our playgrounds also feature natural gardens planted and maintained by both staff and children.
We take hiring seriously, as we fully understand that the staff are the primary caregivers for your child. They are the people whom you will interact with most; and most importantly the staff will be your child’s acting role model & teacher. We are very proud of our staff, whether they are students working towards their RECE status, or those who have already completed their Early Childhood Educators Diploma.
Vaughan Kids Daycare exceeds the Ministry requirements for Early Childhood Educators in each class. We also work to build a multi-disciplinary team within the centre. A successful centre has a team composed of staff with varied but complimentary experiences, qualifications and skills that contribute to the successful implementation of our philosophies. This truly creates a positive, child focused environment.
Further, each of our staff must provide a “Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check” from a local Police Station and have a valid first aid, CPR certificate. Also, due to the new Health Guidelines; two staff must be onsite at all times who have “Food Handlers Certificates”, we work to exceed guidelines and require all our staff get certified.
